PeptideInfo.ca is designed to collect as little personal information as practical. We do not offer accounts, clinical services, personalized health advice, or behavioural advertising.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider may create ordinary server logs containing information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, and security events. These logs are used to deliver, secure, diagnose, and maintain the website. We do not currently use third-party advertising pixels, remarketing tools, or personalized advertising.

Information you choose to send

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information in your message. Please do not send symptoms, diagnoses, medications, laboratory results, photographs, health-card numbers, or other sensitive health information. The editorial inbox is not a clinical service and is not monitored for urgent concerns.

Cookies

The public site is designed to operate without non-essential tracking cookies. WordPress may use necessary cookies for administrators who sign in. If analytics, forms, or subscriptions are added later, this policy and any required consent choices will be updated before those tools are enabled.

Service providers and location

Website files and routine server logs are processed by our hosting and security providers. Those providers may process information outside your province or outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. An up-to-date list of material service providers will be published here as production systems are finalized.

Retention and safeguards

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, security, legal obligations, or a documented editorial record. We use access controls, software updates, encrypted connections, backups, and limited administrator access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask about personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or withdraw consent where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, or record-integrity reasons.

Privacy contact

The publisher acts as privacy contact until a named privacy officer is appointed. Email privacy@peptideinfo.ca. Do not send medical information.

Changes

We will update the effective date and describe material changes when this policy changes. A separate, healthcare-specific privacy program would be required before any future clinical service.

PeptideInfo.ca loads Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor actively chooses to allow analytics. The default setting is denied. Search-result pages are excluded entirely. Declining does not limit access to any article or feature, and the choice can be changed at any time through the Privacy choices control available on every public page.

After consent, Google Analytics may process a page path without query text, a same-site referrer path or external referrer origin, general browser and device information, approximate location derived by Google, reading-depth events, and outbound-link domains. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, account identifiers, form contents, search terms, health questionnaire data, or a user ID. Advertising storage, personalized advertising, Google Signals, and remarketing are disabled.

Google may process analytics information outside Canada. We configure Analytics cookies to expire after 90 days, ask again for consent after 180 days, and require event-data retention to use the shortest available period in the Analytics property. Google controls parts of its processing under its own privacy policy. Our purpose is to understand aggregate readership, improve navigation, and identify useful reporting.

Withdrawing consent stops future analytics collection from this browser and removes the Analytics cookies that our consent tool can identify. Previously collected aggregate records may remain until the configured retention period expires. Browser privacy signals are treated as a decision not to enable analytics unless the visitor later makes an explicit choice. Core Web Vitals are monitored through aggregate Chrome user-experience reports and Search Console rather than custom Analytics events.
